Ice Park Obertauern

Welcome to Low Tauern, in the heart of Austria. The mountain massif consists of several smaller units with an area of 4,900 square kilometers and is composed of slate and granite. It is situated in central Austria. The highest peak is called Hochgolling and is 2,863 meters above sea level. The westernmost part represents Radstädter Tauern with the Obertauern ski resort at an altitude of 1,630-2,313 meters above sea level. The Obertauern ski resort is one of the most prestigious in all Austria and is also known as the Austrian St. Moritz.

Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy ideal skiing conditions from late November to early May. There are about 100 kilometers of groomed slopes and more than twenty ski lifts that can serve more than 45 thousand people per hour. Cross-country skiers can enjoy well prepared skiing tracks. Comfortable accommodation and a variety of wellness and fitness activities are a matter of course.
